Canadian-French pop star, Avril Lavigne walked down the aisle with her rocker beau Chad Kroeger at the Chateau La Napoule in Mandelieu on Monday. The singer was previously married to Sum 41 rocker Deryck Whibley.

Talking about her wedding venue, an animated Avril quipped, “I wanted to make sure it's a crazy vacation and an experience of a lifetime for our guests. I wanted it to be over the top. I'm obsessed with castles and I love French decor and goth. I found this castle in France and we visited it and it was perfect.”

Avril wore a a black tulle Monique Lhuillier gown on her D-day.

The Nickelback singer, Chad, who is 10-years older to Avril,  was formerly married to Marianne Goriuk. They divorced on May 2011.

The couple created quite a buzz last August after they announced their engagement. The duo fell for each other while working on Avril’s forthcoming studio album – the follow-up to her 2011 collection Goodbye Lullaby.
