Triple Talaq

In a landmark move set to benefit lakhs of Muslim women in India, the government has taken a stand against regressive and sexist customs prevalent in society. The Union Cabinet on December 15 cleared the bill to bring in a law that will penalise those who divorce their wives through the means of triple talaq, a move that is being welcomed by Muslim women across the country.
