TJAC appeals youth not to commit suicides

The Telangana issue has hit the headlines yet another time with Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman, Prof. Kodandaram reiterating that they are all set to intensify the movement for a separate statehood. He called upon the pro-Telangana youths not to commit suicides and stressed that they would achieve T State.

He addressed the media after he kick started a bus rally in Hyderabad on Wednesday at Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial at Gun Park of Hyderabad. Elucidating the reason for starting bus rally, Kodandaram stressed that they were taking out this rally for exerting pressure of TDP and Congress Party. To make a point, Kodandaram has said that as many as 862 people allegedly killed themselves for the cause of separate statehood. He expressed his grief stating that 13 persons committed suicides after hearing the irresponsible statements by some politicians after by-polls.  Meanwhile, TNGO state president Swamy Goud has said that they were ready for any sort of sacrifices for Telangana cause. He has pointed out at the loss that they faced during 42 days strike a few months back over the same issue. Also, he mentioned that they were even ready to face many such losses for a separate state.

While political parties are reportedly playing games with youths and their sentiments, it is the duty of every youth and citizen to notice and put a check to the same. Youths should not come under provocative statements of political leaders. Everyone should stand up for establishing peace and tranquility. (Phani)
