Indian cricket captain Dhoni entered in to a 3-year contract with the Bangalore based UB Group owned by Vijay Malya for a whopping amount of Rs.26 Cr. Under this agreement, Dhoni will endorse the products of UB group for a period of three years and will get Rs.26 Cr in return.
The company said in a statement in Bangalore that the agreement will come into force just ahead of the world cup tournament beginning January 2011.
Dhoni’s endorsement value stands only next to that of Bollywood actor Amir Khan who was paid a highest amount of Rs.30 Cr by a corporate company for endorsing its products.
