When rain delayed the start of the fourth day of the second test match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, between Indian and South Africa, on 17 November 2015, India cricketers like Virat Kohli, Murali Vijay and Cheteswara Pujara, R Ashwin, Ishant Sharma had a warm up on the ground. Most Cricketers played with Soccer ball as they waited for the resumption of the play.
Umpires Ian Gould, Richard Allan Kettleborough, and C.K. Nandan inspected the outfield. After some time, the match was called off due to rain, wet outfield, Wet weather and soggy conditions in Bengaluru. Not even a single ball was bowled for the third successive day in the second Test, before the match was called off.
The men in blue won the first Test match, leading with 1-0 in the four-Test match series. The third Test starts on 25 November in Nagpur.
Ravinder Manchanda, treasurer of the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA), has claimed that the National capital is all set to host the final Test match between India and South Africa. The match is scheduled for 3 December 2015.
The No Objection Certificate (NOC) was obtained by DDCA from the excise department regarding the Entertainment Tax. A total of Rs 1 crore is to be paid by the DDCA to the excise department within two weeks.
