The intense rivalry between India and Pakistan cricket teams when it comes to the game is well known! Fans of both the cricket teams have a strong emotional attachment with the win or loss in the game between them. The World T20 is now giving a stage for both the teams to have a clash, igniting the passion among supporters.
This passion is not just limited to fans. Nothing else matters for Pakistan Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq as long as Pak beats India on Saturday at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata in T20 World cup 2016.
In a recent interview, Misbah said, “You can lose every game but you can’t lose against India, and it’s the same thing for them, that’s how big a match it is.” Misbah is confident that Pakistan would rise their game against their arch rival.
Praising the well-balanced Indian side, Misbah said, “Obviously with the kind of cricket India is playing at the moment, you feel all their bases are covered. Their spin department is pretty experienced and in batting, their top six line-ups are all match-winners with a strong middle order. The way they are playing at the moment having just won the Asia Cup, they look like a difficult side to beat.”
Meanwhile, demand for tickets for the much awaited clash reached a fever pitch. A Cricket Association of Bengal official on Wednesday said that, "Several Eden Gardens can be filled up, such is the demand."
