As the Russian Grand Prix team gears up to make its debut in the tracks next year, there are increased chances of Indian Grand Prix team being dropped from the Formula One Calendar.

"Is India going to happen next year? Probably not," revealed commercial supremo Bernie Ecclestone at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Ecclestone, who has been drawing up Formula One Calendar for decades now, revealed that Indian team could be axed from 2014 races because of 'political reasons', bureaucratic hurdles, high local taxation and poor sports exposure, hinting at the Greater Noida race held near New Delhi sometime ago.

Russia, which is all set to make its debut in the Black Sea resort of Sochi towards the end of 2014, and a Grand Prix in New Jersey are the two novelties planned for 2014.  Austrian Grand Prix team  will also make a return after 11 years.

India  hosted its debut Grand Prix in 2011. This year's race  is scheduled for October 27 as the 16th round of the 19-race championship.

The two races held in India so far has been won by Red Bull's triple world champion Sebastian Vettel.
