Apple may be ready to follow the trend of thinner, slimmer smartphones as the tech giant is rumored to launch an ultra-thin iPhone next year. According to technology analyst Ming Chi Guo, Apple may introduce an ultra-thin iPhone called the iPhone 17 in the iPhone 17 lineup in 2025. The company may discontinue the Plus model and replace it with an ultra-slim model. According to Guo, Apple is exploring a new design for the ultra-thin model, although the focus will be on the ultra-thin design rather than the hardware specifications. The ultra-thin iPhone 17 has a 6.6-inch display with a resolution of approximately 2740 x 1260. As for the processor, it might be equipped with the A19 chip, but not the A19 Pro chip used in the Pro models. The ultra-slim model will have the same dynamic island as the current models.

The metal housing of the thin iPhone is made of a titanium-aluminum alloy. Compared to the Pro and Pro Max models, the frame uses less titanium. It will also be equipped with Apple's own 5G chip. The supposedly thinner iPhone will have a different camera setup. Currently, standard iPhone models have two cameras, but the ultra-slim iPhone has a single rear camera. Apple will release the iPhone 16 series in September, and there will be significant changes in the display size, but we will have to wait until October for information from Apple. Apple's AI capabilities will be rolled out in several updates from late 2024 to the first half of 2025.
