The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition will be available in select markets from next week, the company announced on Monday. The new foldable smartphone is thinner and lighter than the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6 launched earlier this year. It has improved many features, including camera setup and viewing. However, the rollout is limited and will initially only be available in the home of South Korean tech companies. The price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition in South Korea starts at ₹ 2,789,600 (approx. Rs. 1,70,000). It will be available in a 16 GB + 512 GB configuration and in the Black Shadow color option, according to the company's press release.

The foldable phone will be available from October 25 on the brand's website and other online channels such as T Direct Shop, KT, Eu+. Buyers of this model will receive discount coupons for other Samsung products such as the Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. The special editions of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 have slightly larger displays than their predecessors, with 8-inch internal and 6.5-inch external screens. For reference, the standard model has a 6.3-inch external screen and a 7.60-inch internal screen. The aspect ratio of the external and internal displays is 21:9 and 20:18, respectively.

The special model has better ergonomics. Samsung claims it's 1.5mm thinner and 3g lighter than the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6, measuring 10.6mm thick and weighing 236g. The remaining lenses remain unchanged. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Galaxy processor paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It supports Galaxy AI.
