The iQOO Z9 Turbo was released in China in April, alongside the iQOO Z9 and iQOO Z9x. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC and a 6000mAh battery. The company said it will soon release a "long battery life version" of the phone, suggesting it will have a larger battery. Confirmed to arrive in China in January 2025. iQOO has also revealed the battery size and chipset details of the upcoming iQOO Z9 Turbo variant. iQOO confirmed in a Weibo post that the Z9 Turbo Long Battery Life Version mobile phone will be released in China in January 2025. The smartphone can currently be booked through the Vivo China online store and other e-commerce platforms in the country. The company's latest post on Weibo said that the iQOO Z9 Turbo Long Battery Life version will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC and a 6400mAh battery. This is bigger than the 6000mAh battery in the standard iQOO Z9 Turbo. Notably, the iQOO Z9 Turbo+ launched in China in September is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC and a 6400mAh battery.
In a previous post, it was confirmed that the iQOO Z9 Turbo Long Battery Life version will be offered in "Flying Blue (translated from Chinese)". The promotional teaser suggests that it may be available in black and white. Other key features of the upcoming iQOO Z9 Turbo Edition are expected to be similar to the standard iQOO Z9 Turbo phone. The iQOO Z9 Turbo is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with up to 144Hz refresh rate. The phone comes with OriginOS 4 based on Android 14. In terms of optics, there is a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor on the back, and a 16-megapixel sensor on the front. Starting at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 23,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, the iQOO Z9 Turbo supports 80W fast wired charging.
