ChatGPT, the AI-powered chatbot, now allows all its users to experience the power of AI-generated images through the integration of OpenAI's cutting-edge Dall-E 3 model. Starting Thursday, even those on the free tier can create up to two images per day using this advanced technology. This marks a significant milestone, as previously, only ChatGPT Plus subscribers had access to the Dall-E 3 model, which was first released by the company in September 2023. This expansion means that the ability to generate visuals through OpenAI's image creation model is now accessible to a wider audience, breaking the exclusivity of this feature. Although the daily limit for free tier users has been set at two images, there is no compromise on the quality or complexity of the prompts that can be used to generate these visuals. While the rollout of this capability has begun, it may take a few days for all ChatGPT users to gain full access to the Dall-E 3 image generation functionality.

The AI chatbot offers the ability to generate images through its web interface and mobile apps, even when the daily limit for the GPT-4o AI model has been reached. Users can access the Dall-E 3 interface from the ChatGPT website or generate images directly within ChatGPT. To get the desired output, the Dall-E 3 interface requires a detailed prompt with specifications like angle, lighting, adherence to the prompt, camera, and more. Alternatively, users can provide a general prompt on ChatGPT, and the AI will then generate a detailed prompt to create the image. However, the image editing feature, which was added for Plus users in April, is not available to free users.
