Apple introduced the game-changer AI, but sadly restricted it only to the new iPhone, iPad and Mac users. Tim Cook, chief executive of Apple has launched Apple Intelligence (AI) at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024 at the tech giant's headquarters in Silicon Valley City California. Apple Intelligence will now assist you with tools like writing, image editing and many more. Apple is struggling to take on rival technologies. Now it has come out with a racing hot technology of AI by having a partnership with OpenAI. OpenAI chief Sam Altman has written, "I am very happy to be partnering with Apple to integrate ChatGPT into their devices later this year! Think you will like it”. Apple intelligence is fairly restricted to the users of the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and any Mac or iPad powered by Apple’s M series chips. Older devices were sidelined. Apple Intelligence will only be available for the new version of software iOS 18, which was unveiled on Monday. Apple will now have enhanced language capabilities, which can summarize the entire lecture in seconds and also will minimize your notifications by avoiding unnecessary distractions.

Besides this Siri will now have the ability to look into your context and with its superpowers it is ready to take action in and across apps and settings. According to Apple, Siri is going to assist users like never before. During the conference they showed how the intelligence will work in writing emails, document formatting and also suggestions on tone. It also has editing tools including the ability to create emojis even by changing the image background. Apple has cleared that Apple Intelligence activities will not store any data of the user. Apple has safeguarded user privacy while using Siri digital assistant and other smarter products. For now, this service will be available only for supported devices. Apple has also had software updates. Few are questioning the safety of Apple user data as Apple is now dealing with OpenAI. This means Apple is now taking the help of third-party apps. Tesla and SpaceX tycoon Elon Musk said that Apple deal with Open AI , that is like literally they are hand-overing Apple phone users data to OpenAI and they never knew what they were going to do with it. Elon Musk also said that he is going to restrict iPhones’ at his companies by considering data security.

Elon Musk wrote, “It’s patently absurd that Apple isn’t smart enough to make their own AI, yet is somehow capable of ensuring that OpenAI will protect your security & privacy! Apple has no clue what’s actually going on once they hand your data over to OpenAI. They’re selling you down the river.” He also wrote, “If Apple integrates OpenAI at the OS level, then Apple devices will be banned at my companies. That is an unacceptable security violation. And visitors will have to check their Apple devices at the door, where they will be stored in a Faraday cage.”
