According to a report, Instagram has introduced a new feature that allows users to create collages of all the moments they have shared on the social network throughout the year. It says that after selecting and resizing an image, it will appear in the Instagram Story interface. Social media platform MetaPlatforms is reportedly introducing more New Year-themed templates for its Add You Stories feature. Instagram's new collage feature (via TechRadar) will be available the first week of January. Instagram users can select multiple images, view them freely, and choose from a variety of New Year-themed fonts. These include options like “How 2024 Began,” “How 2024 Ended,” and “HNY.” Once you're done, you can share your collage with your followers on your Instagram story.

Additionally, the social media platform is introducing end-of-year templates in its “Add You” feature that will allow others to share your collage in their responses. It also features New Year text effects and countdowns, holiday themes for direct messages (DMs), and secret phrases like "Happy New Year" and "Hello 2025" that create special on-screen effects in SMS messages and notes. This rollout builds on several features Instagram has introduced in recent months. Last week we introduced a new feature called Test Loops that makes it easier for creators to test new content. Creators can share test loops only with non-followers to gauge their interest and receive important statistical information such as views, likes, comments, and shares of the test loop after 24 hours.

Another recent update to Instagram gives creators more ways to engage with their audience than just liking and responding to messages. You can now reply to messages not only between creators, but also from creators. We now also enable more active interaction with scheduled requests and daily check-ins. These features have been introduced in Instagram broadcast channels.
