Celebrations begin at Megastar Chiranjeevi's house for the wedding of their youngest daughter Srija. This would be Srija’s second marriage after her divorce with her first husband, Sirish Bharadwaj.
Srija would wed an NRI named Kalyan from Chitoor on 28 March 2016. The couple is likely to have a destination wedding. According to a Hans India report, Chiranjeevi’s family, "celebrated the traditional pasupu-kumkuma (turmeric-vermilion ritual) event at their residence in Hyderabad."
According to a source, “The match was finalised a few days ago. It is with Srija’s consent that her parents have agreed to this wedding, which will take place next month. On Thursday, Chiranjeevi’s family had a small get-together at his residence to begin the celebration.” Both the families reportedly know each other for a long time.
In 2007, Srija, who was 19 then, married Bharadwaj. They had a daughter together. In 2011, she separated from him legally. She claimed that her inlaws were torturing her for dowry and from then she has been living with her parents.
