Analysis
The first half of Run is a thorough entertainer with too many twists and turns in the simple story. The interlinking of the characters with the main plot would be interesting. A decent comedy and enough twists, makes the first half of Run, a quality entertainer.
The second half, on the other hand, has too many flaws, right from its beginning. You will feel fortunate for yourself, if your seat can take good air from AC, that is enough for you to take a comfortable nap. The tempo dropping at several places tests the patience of the audience in the theatre.
Performance
Sundeep Kishan as Sanju is apt. His performance as a frustrated guy shows his maturity in the acting levels. On the other side, Anisha Ambrose has nothing much to do, especially in the second half. Her onscreen chemistry with Sundeep is purely a blunder. Brahmaji as Padmavati delivers hilarious comedy. Rest other characters have done a decent job.
Music by Sai Karthik is ok, but background score surely deserves a loud applause.
Dialogues are good and the production values are on the top notch. The camera work brilliance, made the movie appear lively and crisp.
Director Anil Kanneganti, could not bring out the essence of the original in the remake movie Run. But he still managed to make some changes to suit to the Telugu audience. The engaging screenplay in the second half, like in the first half, would have made Run, a better movie.
Final Word
Run may not run longer. So run to the theaters immediately, if you still wishes to watch this ‘Run’.
