Mercedes-Benz India has launched the EQS 450 SUV, a cheaper version of the electric luxury SUV, at Rs 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom). This new model costs Rs 13 lakh less than the EQS 580 SUV which costs Rs 1.41 lakh (ex-showroom). Unlike the 580, the EQS 450 SUV has 5 seats. Both the EQS 450 and the Mercedes G 580 Edition One will be unveiled at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Bookings for the EQS 450 SUV are now open, deliveries are expected to start in February. The EQS 580 released in September last year is sold out, the next lot will arrive in April. The battery of the EQS 450 SUV is 122 kWh, like the 580, but the engine power is less - 360 hp. and 800 Nm compared to 580 with 544 hp. and 858 Nm. The top speed is 820 km/h, which is only 11 km/h faster than the 580. The Mercedes accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, which is 1.4 seconds slower than the 7-seat SUV EQS . . Charging times are also similar: 31 minutes for charging from 10 to 80 percent with a 200 kW DC fast charger, and 6.25 hours for full charging with a 22 kW AC wall cabinet.
On the outside, the 450 features black 21-inch alloy wheels and the Electric Art line, giving the 580 AMG a more refined look. until 580. It comes with a 56-inch hyperscreen system with a 12.3-inch dashboard, passenger-side screen and a 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen.
