Story
The movie is the story of young guy Raja Ram (Nara Rohit) who aspires of turning a director and make it big in films. He writes an interesting action script and narrates it to his girlfriend Chaitra (Isha Talwar) one fine day. An unexpected source reveals this news to Manik (Taraka Rathna) who is a goon and has resemblances with the negative character written in his film. Raja Ram starts getting fake calls from this unexpected person asking him to kill Manik else he would kill Chaitra. The rest of the movie is about the disturbed Raja Ram and his story about what happens next. Watch Raja Cheyyi Vesthe to know about the rest.
Analysis
The movie starts with a bang which surprise the audience and the tempo has been maintained for time being. Though the film dips at times, the movie picks up back again which makes the audience sit interesting. However the songs become the major barriers throughout and the entertainment levels have been quite low. The pre-interval episodes bring lot of curiosity and on the whole the complete first half ends up decent.
The second half of Raja Cheyyi Vesthe has a different story to reveal. The screenplay throughout the second half has been badly written which kills the complete flavor of the movie. The movie dips down completely as the director has been completely confused in executing the second half. The climax of the movie has been decent which alone could not save the movie. On the whole the second half of Raja Cheyyi Vesthe is a total misfire.
Performance
Nara Rohit comes out with one more energetic and interesting role as Raja Ram. He has done the character with ease and he looked quite bulky throughout the movie. It’s high time to lose huge weight for the actor. Taraka Rathna has done a commendable job in the movie and he is the major highlight of the movie. He has been outstanding with his performance. Isha Talwar has been decent with her presence but her performance is far below the line. All the other actors have been decent with their roles.
The story of Raja Cheyyi Vesthe has been interesting and it is quite unique. But the screenplay of the movie is the major spoiler for Raja Cheyyi Vesthe. The complete second half has been a misfire and the dialogues have been decent. The music and the songs have been ok. The cinematography has been outstanding and is the highlight of the film. The production values have been grand and the director fails to make the audience get impressed and sit engaging.
Final Word
Nara Rohit tastes his third debacle in a row with Raja Cheyyi Vesthe. A film that can be ignored completely.
