Analysis

Rogue Movie Review

The first half of Rogue has been predictable however it has been passable because of the indulged commercial elements in the right dose. The songs look decent and the love story has been narrated well. The action episodes are the major highlight of the first half and on the whole the first half of the movie ends up on a decent note.

The second half of Rogue is a huge disappointment in all the available ways. The film lacks interesting episodes and the narration looks quite outdated. Puri has been left concentrated completely in presenting Ishaan leaving the major plot behind. The entire second half of Rogue dips down in all the available ways and it even kills the decent impact that has been created during the first half.

Performance

Ishaan makes an impressive debut as an actor and he is far better than many other actors in Telugu cinema. He has been outstanding in the action episodes and his screen presence is sure an asset for the actor. Mannara impressed with her looks and her performance has been top notch. Angela is poor in performing in the assigned role however she impressed the audience with her glamorous acts. Thakur Anup Singh has been decent and all the other actors delivered out their best.

The story of Rogue has been taken from various previous films of Puri Jagannadh. The screenplay penned by Puri has been completely outdated. The dialogues have been good at parts and the cinematography work has been outstanding. The movie’s music is a huge failure and the background score too makes no impact. The production values look lavish and Puri Jagannadh fails miserably once again in presenting Rogue as an impressive commercial entertainer.

Final Word

Rogue is a poor and predictable right from the first frame and it makes no impact on the audience. One more disappointment from Puri Jagannadh.
