Superstar Rajinikanth who has been struggling with disasters pinned all his hopes on 2.0 which is called as the country's costliest film. Directed by Shankar, the film has been made on a budget of Rs 600 crores and has huge scope for VFX effects. Amy Jackson played the heroine and Akshay Kumar played the lead villain. 2.0 released in various languages in 6800 screens across the country.
