SS Karthikeya, son of SS Rajamouli takes care of the production responsibilities and other works of Rajamouli's movies. He even floated his own production house and announced Akasavani, a small budget sci-fi thriller. Ashwin Gangaraju who worked as a writer for Rajamouli's movies like Eega and Baahubali is turning director with Akasavani. The major portion of the film's shoot got completed already and the entire shoot will be wrapped up this year. Karthikeya is occupied with the work of RRR, the upcoming project of SS Rajamouli and he could not spend ample time for his debut production Akasavani.

Hence, he decided to walk out of Akasavani to focus completely on the work of RRR. He informed the team of Akasavani that he would not be available. The film features a bunch of new actors and Samuthirakani will be seen playing a crucial role in this sci-fi films. Karthikeya will now have ample time for RRR. The shoot of the film is kept on hold due to coronavirus and will start soon. The film is made on a budget of Rs 400 crores and will release next year.
