Megastar Chiranjeevi has signed a bunch of films and he had plans to complete three films this year. But the ongoing coronavirus pandemic played a spoilsport. He resumed the shoot of Acharya in the direction of Koratala Siva and the film is rumored to hit the screens during Dasara this year. Chiranjeevi announced that he will next be seen in the remake of Lucifer. The pooja ceremony of the film took place recently and Tamil director Mohan Raja is on the board to direct the remake. Mohan Raja narrated the final script of the film recently and impressed Chiranjeevi with the final narration without a single change in the script.

As per the update, the film is titled God Father. Chiranjeevi too felt that God Father will be the apt title for this political drama. The makers recently registered the title and it will be announced on August 22nd on the occasion of Chiranjeevi's birthday. There are talks that Nayanthara has a powerful role assigned and Satyadev will be seen in a crucial role. Thaman is the music director and NV Prasad, Ram Charan will jointly produce this remake. The shoot of God Father commences from August 13th and the film will release in summer next year. Chiranjeevi will be sporting a new look in the movie and it will be revealed with the title of the film.
