June and July have been dull months for Telugu cinema. Except for Adivi Seesh's Major, none of the Telugu films made decent in Telugu states in the month of June. Kamal Haasan's Vikram ended up as a super hit and is still screened in theatres. All the other films failed to make an impact at the box-office. Some of the theatres remained shut due to lack of audience. After a disappointing June, July started on a disappointing note all over. Lavanya Tripathi's Happy Birthday released last Friday and the film has been declared as a disaster.

The continuous rains in the Telugu states left the audience to stay away from theatres. Close to 600 theatres across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are shut because of the rains. The audience are not much interested to watch films in theatres because of the monsoon weather. There is huge waterlogging all over and some of the highways are blocked due to the heavy floods. Ram's film The Warrior is releasing tomorrow across the globe. The makers are quite confident that the audience would rush to theatres to watch the film. Lingusamy directed the film and Krithi Shetty is the heroine. Naga Chaitanya's Thank You and Ravi Teja's Ramarao On Duty are the other releases during this month. Both these films are struggling for buzz during this unseason.
