Tamil actor Vijay is doing a straight Telugu film and it is titled Vaarasudu or Varisu. The film is shot in Telugu and Tamil languages simultaneously. Vamshi Paidipally is the director and Rashmika is romancing Vijay in this family entertainer that is packed with action. Rashmika plays the leading lady and Sarathkumar will be seen in an important role. Dil Raju is producing this big-budget entertainer and Thaman is scoring the music.

As per the ongoing news, the non-theatrical rights of the film are sold for a record price. The digital rights of Vaarasudu are sold for Rs 60 crores and the satellite rights are sold for Rs 50 crores. The music rights are sold for T Series for Rs 10 crores and the Hindi rights are sold for Rs 30 crores. The non-theatrical rights of Vaarasudu are sold for Rs 150 crores. Vaarasudu is carrying huge expectations and the film will release during Sankranthi 2023 in Telugu and Tamil languages. The shoot completes in October 2022.
