Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja delivered two super hits in the recent times with Dhamaka and Waltair Veerayya. The actor tested his luck again with Ravanasura, a stylish action thriller that is directed by Sudheer Varma. Ravanasura released on Friday and the film received decent openings for the morning shows. With the word of mouth quite negative, the numbers dropped down completely by the evening shows. Ravanasura received poor response from the audience and the film collected a theatrical share of Rs 4.88 crores on its first day.
This is poor when compared to the recent openings of other Ravi Teja's films. Megha Akash, Anu Emmanuel, Daksha Nagarkar and Fariah Abdullah are the heroines in Ravanasura. Abhishek Nama bankrolled the film. Ravanasura theatrical rights are valued at Rs 25 crores and it is tough for the film to inch the breakeven mark. Ravi Teja is shooting for Tiger Nageswara Rao and the film is hitting the screens for Dasara. Ravi Teja will also resume the shoot of Eagle directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni from June this year. Apart from these, Ravi Teja signed the remake of Maanaadu that will also have Varun Dhawan in the other lead role. Here are the first day collections of Ravanasura:
