The Election Commission issued notification today for the Rajya Sabha biennial elections to be held on March 30 to fill the six seats falling vacant on April 2 from AP.

Serving members Keshava Rao, Sanjeeva Reddy, Dasari Narayana Rao and Rashid Alwi (all from the Congress), MV Mysoora Reddy (TDP) and Aziz Pasha (CPI) will retire on April 2.

Nominations can be submitted from today and filed till March 19. Polling will be held on March 30 and the results declared the same evening. (J)
