The incarcerated former Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhan Reddy gets a breather from CBI custody. The CBI took custody of the former Minister in Hyderabad and was transferred to Bangalore on March 2. On Friday, Bangalore Special CBI court ordered judicial custody up to March 24, for Gali, in the AMC case. The CBI had related to the court that since in custody, they had interrogated and got vital evidences pertaining to the case. And to go further in the case, they needed an extension of custody of Gali and his associate Ali Khan, another accused in the case. Ali Khan is a confidante of Gali, and is a vital key in the case. But Justice B M Angadi sanctioned the judicial custody instead.
Gali and his associate were shifted to the Parappara Agrahara Jail. Initially, they were sent for medical examinations to the hospital. Later they were lodged in the prison. Another notable issue was the former Minister was accommodated in the same cell in which the former Chief Minister Yeddyrappa was housed during his stay at the prison in the lands de-notification case.
