Senior Congress Leader and the outgoing Rajya Sabha member K Kesava Rao expressed his anguish over the party’s debacle in the recent by-polls. Talking to media persons, on Thursday, he said that the Congress party has totally failed in the Telangana region mainly due to Kiran Kumar Reddy’s unilateral decisions in the selection of wrong candidates in the by-elections and his style of functioning. Stating that former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy has always invited senior party leaders’ suggestions while taking important decision on any issue, he accused Kiran Kumar Reddy of insulting the Telangana sentiment in the by-elections and going ahead with development mantra in the region. Owing himself responsible the CM must resign lamented KK.
He said that the debacle only means the strong separate state sentiment prevailing in the region. He also requested the party high command to understand the ground reality and do the needful. If necessary action is not taken up in time the party will be completely in the region. He also hinted the change of loyalties of the public, if corrective measures are not taken on a war footing.
