British security agencies have busted a deadly terrorist ring and thereby saved the country from a potential terror threat.
Scotland Yard, MI-5 jointly conducted a raid and seized shotguns, knives and samurai swords from the boot of a car carrying six British jihadists who plotted to kill and maim hundreds of people.
A nail bomb packed with 458 pieces of shrapnel and parts for a pipe bomb were also found.
The gang had evaded the security services and their car was only searched after being impounded because the driver did not have insurance.
Authorities have confirmed that the name of the ringleader is Jewell Uddin . He was also linked with other terrorist activities of the recent past.
