The Shiv Sena was known to have written on Sunday to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) demanding that the press box at Wankhede Stadium be named after the late Bal Thackeray. Furthermore, Sena official Milind Narvekar in his letter said, that the proposal to name the press box gallery after Bal Thackeray has been pending before the MCA.While they had promised to consider the proposal, yet has been kept in unmoving phase.

Even, Sena told MCA that the matter should be discussed at the meeting on May 14. While two IPL matches are scheduled at Wankhede stadium on May 13 and on May 15.
According to the Sena, it will be ideal if decision is arrived at this week. Nevertheless, sources in the MCA refused to make any commitment.
