Now, it's Karnataka turn to impose a ban on sale of smokeless tobacco.
Earlier we found 25 States along with 5 Union Territories to rise against banning sale of smokeless tobacco. In addition to it presently the Karnataka Health Minister U.T. Khader was known to have announced on Friday at the World No Tobacco Day function in Bangalore about the government's banning the sale of gutka as well as pan masala having a result of spontaneity.
Mr. Khader emphasized on the hidden critical reason behind the banning and clearly expresses his concern towards the interest of public health and safety measure.
Rejecting the arousing factor of calling it to be a misfortune, he promised that the state government would ensure the protection of the interests of areca nut farmers if at all things turn out to be critical in that regard. While Mr. Khader also known to have brought into prominence that anyone found violating the ban would genuinely have to face crucial penalty from the State Government which would be soon made known publicly.
