A five storey building collapsed in South Mumbai locality Today morning as reported by the BMC Disaster Control unit.  

The building that is used as BMC staff quarters is situated opposite dockyard road.

Fire people are found injured in the disaster and over 50 people are feared caught in the debris.  The incident took place at 6.00 am in the morning when all most all of the residents were in sleep.   

Rescue operations are going on with 15 fire tenders.
