Mesa police detained a sleeping man on a running car, after he was found in possession of narcotic drug and drug paraphernalia.
The arrest was made on the 1600 block of East Broadway Road in Mesa on Saturday, Oct. 26.
The 20-year-old Gustavo Ramos later told the police that he had smoked “spice” and dozed off to sleep.
According to police, “the car was in drive when police found him sleeping, but his foot had been fixed on the brake. Police placed the car in park while Ramos woke up, according to the court document. Ramos gave officers a jar of a green leafy substance.”
On searching his car, officers discovered a bag of white powder and another packet containing 34 pills.
On testing, it was found that the white powder was cocaine and the pills were anxiety medication.
