According to the latest report presented by national advocacy group, Arizona is the seventh-least affordable state in the U.S. for child care.
On an average, child care costs up to $6,198 in Arizona, whereas the average income of a family is just $70,149.
New York, Hawaii, Wyoming, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Arkansas are less affordable than Arizona, that shares its rank with the Kansas city, according to the group study.
Not just that, even infant care in Arizona is only 10 per cent lesser than the annual tuition fee at a public university - $8,671 (infant care) versus $9,729 (average annual tuition).
Arizona ranked 13th-least-affordable in child care for a 4-year-old, averaging $7,398.
