Two skydivers died in a mid air crash on Tuesday night while attempting a jump over Eloy.
The accident took place around 4:51 p.m. at Skydive Arizona.
One of the divers died on spot while the third was declared dead at a local hospital.
According to Sergeant Jerome, witnesses revealed that both skydivers had open parachutes when they collided about 200 to 300 feet above the ground. At that point, their canopies collapsed and they fell.
A third skydiver was also injured last evening, but wasn't a part of the collision.
Skydive Arizona is a training facility that operates out of the Eloy Municipal Airport, about 60 miles south of Phoenix.
