An ROTC instructor from Gilbert, Arizona has been arrested for sexual conduct with a minor.
An instructor at Highland High School, the 41-year-old Joseph Stephenson allegedly involved in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old female student.
The teen apparently confided about having sex with the instructor to her sister who informed their parents about it and officials were called.
On Tuesday, the school sent out an email to parents saying police had arrested Stephenson.
"The chief, the guy who got arrested like he made friends with everybody in the class like all of the students and everybody," said Matthew Martinez, a freshman at the school.
Officials say Stephenson has worked at the school since August of 2013.
Authorities say he has been booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail.
