The 16th Grand India Festival is being celebrated in Phoenix, Arizona on 29th March, 2014. The celebrations have been organised at the Indo-American Community Center located at west Maryland Avenue in Phoenix.

Organized by the Indo American Foundation of Arizona, the events begin at 10 AM and will continue till 7 PM.

 

Founded in 1987, the Indo-American Cultural and Religious Foundation of Arizona IACRFAZ, strives to keep the Indian community united. Active in the metro Phoenix area, the foundation helps the Indo-American community to participate in social, cultural and religious activities.

With the ever growing Indo-American community in the region need was felt to build a religious center. In 2001, the Bharatiya Ekta Mandir of Arizona (BEMA), a non-profit organization, was established mainly to reduce the operational and financial burden on the community center. The temple was named “Ekta Mandir” that reflected the vision of the founding members to keep the Indo-American community united.

The 16th Grand India Festival day will full of fun activities. The entire Indo-American community in Arizona is invited to attend the event and experience your cultural and social roots.

 

Food lovers will have a field day trying out the delicacies in food stalls from all the states of India. If you love shopping, spend an entire day hunting for things that would interest you. Come and experience the feeling of togetherness with people with similar roots.
