Arizona celebrates 70th Indian Independence day

Indian Independence is a nostalgic moment for the Indians staying abroad. It is with full sincerity and high enthusiasm, the Indian independence day is celebrated outside India by the Indian diaspora. There are many Indian communities working for the welfare of Indians in all countries. One such community is of Arizona Indians. The Indo-American community at Arizona has taken their earnest efforts to make the occasion a moment to remember.

Smt Sita Raman Director of IACRF chaired the event and was volunteered by the members and board members of IACRF. Shri Shyam Byra and Team from HSS gave support for the public speaking Contests and Bhagubhai and Team from IACRF Seniors Group lead the Parade and Flag Hoisting and created the tricolor ambiance. President IACRF invited the VIPs, Mayor, Vice Mayor and AZC Commissioner to the program.

The program was graced with a Combination of Parade, Flag Hoisting, Cultural programs, Debate / Public Speaking and Lunch that have also brought in a very good turn out of more than 900. Satish Kosuri from AZINDIA and Shyam Byra from AZWishesh worked in tandem with superb publicity support along with efforts of IACRF Publicity Team.

The program was made a success by the wholehearted participation of the Indian community of Arizona. There were almost 100 unique participants for the cultural programs and an audience of approximately 800+. Lunch was served to approximately 550. For debate, about 40 participants registered and almost 25 were in attendance along with their parents.

Gautam Shah who is founder member of IACRF & Ekta Mandir has conveyed his wishes for the huge success of the event to all the participants and IACRF members.
