A small group protested Trump’s Inaguration in Arizona

A peaceful protest was held by a small group on Friday outside of the Arizona Capitol Building  as Donald Trump took oath as the 45th US president in Washington D.C.

Around 100 people participated in the peaceful protest. Few of the supporters of Trump showed up at the protest, but the protestors kept their heads up.

Protestors chanted, “Hey hey ho ho Donald Trump has to go”and “Not my president”.

A large inflatable depicted a caricature of Trump dressed in the white robes of a Ku Klux Klan member emblazoned with a Nazi swastika.

Some supporters of Donald Trump attended a counter protest and few of them were carrying guns.

Both the protests closed 17th Avenue between Adams and Jefferson streets.

The Arizona protest was in stark contrast to violent incidents that swept the streets of Washington, D.C. after Donald Trump was sworn into office.

D.C. police had to use tear gas canisters in a confrontation with the protesters in downtown Washington.

Some people were treated for exposure to tear gas while others were vomiting.

Protesting people were throwing bricks and concrete at police. One of the protesters wearing a mask smashed a bank window and demonstrators blocked streets with newspaper boxes.

Another protester was standing on a mailbox and waving a rainbow flag.

Police were in riot gear, including helmets and body shields.

More than 100 people were arrested within few hours of the inauguration ceremony and protesters were still engaged in standoffs with police.
