MSCO states that suspects shot by deputies was ‘Crazy Eight Bandit’

The man who was shot at Mariposa country by the deputy in the July was identified as 45 years old Willie Timmons, who is also known as “Crazy Eight Bandit” who is responsible for 16 robberies in the west valley, said the investigators.
The Investigators said, that the whole incident on July 28 started when they saw Timmons robbing the O’Reilly’s Auto Spare Parts store near 91st avenue on Peoria Avenue around 9 p.m, deputies went after him and tried to arrest him but he ignored verbal commands.
According to MSCO, Timmons appeared to reach something in his waistband assumed to be a weapon that when the police used both non lethal and lethal forces. Later deputies have found that the thing he was reaching is an air-soft pistol.
No Deputies were hurt, but Timmons appeared to have life threatening injuries and is still in the hospital as of Tuesday evening.
MSCO has stated that timmons was under surveillance during that day because he had been suspected for 16 armed robberies during these 5 months in west valley area. They said that the tattoos in the surveillance videos have matched with that on timmons hands, so reportedly they used information to identify his vehicle and residence.
MSCO stated that timmons criminal record shows that he was convicted of numerous armed robberies earlier and he has been paroled after serving 10 years of 15 years sentence.
The “Crazy Eight Bandit” name was given to him because he had a tendency to act on dates with number eight or to separate his actions by eight days. He started his robberies in may, when he is out of hospital he has long list of charges waiting.
