A Credit card skimmer was found at a gas station in Arizona, officials has warned people about that.
Two Skimmers were found at two gas stations Monday and Wednesday at Glendale, pushing the year’s total to 40.
The Pinal Country Sheriff’s office said a skimming device was found at the Bowlins gas station in Picacho. The gas station is off Interstate 10, south of Eloy.
PCSO has released the picture of the person who has place the device on a gas pump in July. This device allows the suspects to collect your credit card information.
Michelle Wilson With Arizona Weights and Divisions has said that the picture of the criminal is taken when he returned to take the information.
According to PCSO, the men pose to be either gas station or gas pump repair employees.
Criminals can open those dispensers and install a skimming device within 7 to 8 seconds.
Wilson has also explained that they may use a car or vehicle in an attempt to conceal their actions from cameras and cashiers, sometimes they have 2 people, someone inside the store distracting the cashier.
Officials believe that this Pinal country case is connected with several incidents in Tuscon and Phoenix area.
“Some of them are Bluetooth enabled that they don’t have to come back to collect the data, they can drive into the close proximity and download the data”, said Wilson.
If you recognize these men or if you believe you are a victim call at 602-542-7942.
