Gov.Doug Ducey To Ditch Trump’s Rally In Phoenix

Recently President Donald Trump’s visit to phoenix is creating a lot of buzz, He is coming for a rally to phoenix. According to recent news, two politicians are not attending this event.

Arizona Gov.Doug Ducey will not be attending the event, he will be meeting president directly at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport on Tuesday afternoon,said Ducey’s office.

Daniel Scarpinato, spokesman of Gov. Doug said that governor will be working on law enforcement during rally to ensure its a safe event.

Former Maricopa Country Sheriff Joe Arpaio said, as of Monday 6 p.m he was still not invited for the event and it is up to trump’s campaign that he will be attending or not.

Arpaio had previously attended trump’s rallies held in valley.

There are many speculations that Trump may pardon Joe Arpaio at rally, as he previously stated that he was “seriously considering pardoning” The Former Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Regarding Arpaio’s pardon, white house has not worked with Department of justice that handles all the clemency petitions, so Trump doesn’t have to go through department of justice to pardon any federal offense.

Air Force One will be making its way to Arizona at Yuma on Tuesday. Trump will visit Marine Corps base along the U.S Mexico border before flying to phoenix for his rally at Phoenix convention center.

Doors of convention center will be opened at 4 p.m and the rally is expected to start at 7 p.m. and all the speakers at the event are still not announced, but there is a confirmation that Vice president Mike Pence would attend the event.

There are protests expected during President’s rally, and the protesters are expecting several outside groups also to participate in the protest.

Carlos Garcia Of Puente of Arizona has said that, protesters will meet on Tuesday around 4 p.m and march from downtown to Phoenix convention center where the rally is scheduled.

Garcia said, he is encouraging all the protesters to be peaceful, and he expects large police presence, including Secret services.

Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton who was disappointed with trump’s visit earlier has said, no major roads will not closed for presidents rally, but some roads may be closed.

The streets that will be close are:

Monroe Street, from 2nd street to 7th street
3rd street, from Washington street to Van Buren street
5th Street, from Jefferson Street to Van Buren street.
