On Tuesday, President Donald Trump refused to back down war of words with prominent black and minority left-leaning leaders who alleged him of making racist remarks.
Trump, brushing off accusations of racism, told reporters at the White House: "I am the least racist person anywhere in the world.”
Trump, over the past two weeks, has laid into four non-white Democratic Congresswomen, a black Democratic lawmaker representing Baltimore and a prominent civil rights activist Al Sharpton.
As a result, many criticized Trump that he is deliberately deepening racial divisions in a pitch to his white, working-class base ahead of 2020 reelection bid.
