The Weather in the United States has been highly unsteady this year. The snow storms have been affecting the country in every way, including the delivery of the COVID-19 vaccine distribution in Arizona.
According to the Arizona Department of Health Services, the winter storms have been delaying the weekly delivery of vaccine doses across the state.
Due to the delay, local health departments have had to cancel appointments which is leading to a higher risk in patients.
There are Pfizer doses currently available for vaccinations in the state but the number is currently limited. The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) stated that they will be in regular contact with federal and local partners to regulate and monitor the situation, ensuring that the vaccines reach the citizens safely and that citizens will be ensured safety and wellness.
The United States is issuing vaccines as much as they can before they get spoilt. Places in Arizona including Memphis, Tennessee and Missouri have been receiving constant cancellations due to the unsteady weather.
Health authorities in the state are trying to issue vaccines to the citizens as soon as they can, despite the delay.
