Chicago suffered 41 shots on memorial day weekend. Injured remained in critical condition and 9 people were dead, according to the Chicago police department.
The oldest victim of the violence is 69 years old and the youngest victim is 14 years old, young girl. The girl was standing along with the group of people at Souda Ada Street. Her right arm was injured and treatment is undergoing. No arrests have been made and detectives are investigating the incident.
Someone at Woodlawn started firing from the white SUV. A 26-years old man was leaving the gas station and suffered multiple gunshots to the back. Before this incident at 11:15 AM in the 1100 block of North Ridge Avenue, one more man was shot dead. The victim died at a hospital, he was aged between 25-30 and suffered multiple wounds. On Saturday morning another man was killed on the southwest side. He was on the sidewalk and was shot in the chest. About 20 minutes earlier, two more people were shot dead on the sidewalk. At Lakeview, a 35-year-old man was shot dead. In multiple incidents around Chicago on the Memorial Day weekend 41 people have been shot and nine fatalities were reported.
