On Monday there was a massive Russian air strike on Ukraine.

Russia claims that Ukraine attempted a drone attack on the Russian city early Monday morning over an oil refinery. From North Moscow, Mikhail Yevrayev, regional governor for Yaroslavl has also claimed that there are no casualties after the attack and also no damage done. Russia also claims that they destroyed 20 drones, which were launched by Ukraine overnight. 9 drones in the Saratov region, 3 over the Kursk region and two each at the Belgorod, Bryansk and Tuta regions. Besides these Ukraine claims that at least 18 people were killed and 37 injured in the Russian missile and drone attacks on Sunday. The attack was done targeting the regions Chernihiv, Sumy , Kharkiv and Donetsk.

However, the situation is contradictory while coming to media reports. According to Aljazeera, Reuter's safety advisor Ryan Evans was killed and two other Reuters journalists were attacked in the incident, where three others escaped without any injuries. A hotel was attacked in Kramatorsk, which is about 20km far from the front line in Ukraine's east. Russians claim that Ukraine has attacked them and said that six civilians were killed in a Ukrainian attack on the Russian borders. On the flip side, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraiane’s forces advanced up to 3km in Russia’s Kursk region and took control of over two more settlements.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently Visited Ukraine and had diplomatic discussions with the prime minister of Ukraine. Zelenskyy hopes that Modi will help Ukraine and contribute his diplomatic efforts and help to end the war. Modi is trying to reestablish the friendship with Ukraine, explained as a ‘strategic relationship’ for economic and defence ties. Besides this Reuters has said that they are contacting the officials and getting more information about their employee's death and also supporting their families. Former US president and also the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has already signalled his support for Ukraine after a conversation with Zelensky. He said that he wanted to stop the war. The Ukrainian president confirmed this to Indian media in an interview on Sunday.

Democratic party presidential candidate Kamala Harris also declared her commitment of solving the Ukraine issue and also strengthening NATO. This is a challenge for the Republican party, yet Trump on Sunday came up with a new strategy for World War III. However, the diplomatic relations and the situations in the world will be in a new phase if Trump wins in the coming November elections.
