Malala Yousafzai who's a Pakistani girl known to have continued in existence subsequent to a murder attempt by the Taleban is being honoured as Harvard University's humanitarian of the year.
As a known fact, Malala Yousafzai is an outspoken proponent for girls' education. She was at Harvard on Friday to receive the 2013 Peter J Gomes Humanitarian Award. Harvard President Drew Gilpin Faust says she was proud to welcome Malala due to their shared interest in education.
Interestingly, the 16-year-old Malala says she's hoping to become a politician because politicians can have influence on a broad scale. She spoke nostalgically about her home region, the Swat Valley. Malala even expresses about her expectancy of returning there someday.
That's certainly worthy of praise when it comes to her courage being such a young lady.
Congratulations to Malala!
