With Hollywood already big time into product merchandising and "Krrish 3" kicking off the trend in Bollywood, can our "Dhoom: 3" stars be far behind?
Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif launched striking D:3 collectibles at an event in suburban Mumbai. During this time, they suitably did some shop talk and revealed an exciting array of D:3 merchandise including entertainment tablet, multi-utility portable utility Bluetooth speakers and collector's edition dolls of Aamir and Katrina's character.
Buzzed as the costliest Bollywood film ever — made at a budget of a whopping Rs 150 crore — producers Yash Raj Films are looking to recover a sizeable chunk of their investment via tie-ups with brands like Mattel, Ceat, Bombay Dyeing and Archies and launching over 200 merchandise goods. The products include USB drives, bags, belts, calendars, jewellery, key chains, tie-pins, cushions, cufflinks, hats, diaries, bed linens, scarves, and helmets.
“Dhoom:3” hits the theaters on December 20.
