The timing couldn't be more appropriate for the love-birds John Abraham and investment banker girlfriend Priya Runchal to take the vows, which they did! Sorry girls, one of Bollywood's most eligible bachelor is hitched now and how.

In what can be dubbed as another hush-hush Bollywood wedding, John Abraham secretly married his girlfriend of three years, Priya, in a private ceremony in Los Angeles.

The actor broke the good news on Twitter today that read, "@TheJohnAbraham Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed 2014! May this year bring you love, good fortune and joy. Love, John and Priya Abraham"

The news of his marriage blew off many, who only learned about the union from the actor's Twitter feed.

Abraham previously dated actress Bipasha Basu for 9 long years before they split in 2011.

In an interview earlier in 2013 talking about marriage, John Abraham had said, "I know it will be this year, but I don't know when. It could be in a few months or a few weeks. I am a very impulsive guy. So I may decide to get married next week! It is possible that our wedding may just have 10 people, if we include close family."

No sooner the tweet went live, Twitter went abuzz with wishes. Actress-singer Sophie Choudry was among the first few to wish the newlyweds on Twitter.

"Congrats John Abraham... Wish you and Priya all the happiness in the world!! God bless... Lots of love."
