Ranbir Kapoor has finally given his nod to play Sanjay Dutt on-screen. The Bollywood heartthrob has agreed to do Rajkumar Hirani's biopic on the troubled actor.   

Although Ranbir never had doubts about playing Sanjay Dutt on-screen,. But he definitely took his time to give a final nod. Even Hirani, who was busy with PK, kept the project in the back burner.

Recently Ranbir told Hirani that he could begin his preparation for the upcoming film with him in mind.

However, Sanjay Dutt's life would not be easty to capture in a three-hour movie as the actor had been through several ups and downs.

Director Hirani, however has plans to start working on the project only when Sanjay Dutt completes his jail term. Sanjay Dutt and Rajkumar Hirani have worked together in Munna Bhai series.
