Saif Ali Khan suffered a serious spinal injury after a knife got lodged in his spine during a fight with an intruder at his home. This caused his spinal fluid to leak out. Doctors at the hospital performed surgery to remove the knife, repair the spinal injury, and treat the deep wounds on his hand and neck. The doctors stated that the 54-year-old actor is now stable, recovering well, and no longer in danger.

Saif Ali Khan is on the path to full recovery, according to his understanding. The hospital previously reported that he sustained six stab wounds. The attacker managed to flee, but Saif's elder son Ibrahim rushed him to the hospital, about 2 km from home, in an auto-rickshaw as a car was unavailable. The police have identified a suspect and formed ten teams to apprehend him. Preliminary investigation suggests the suspect entered Saif's house with the intent to commit robbery, but further details will be provided once the suspect is in custody.
